Description: A new opportunity in a post-industrial zone. New uses for a neglected nature. Hamang City Park is a combination of public equipment with living and commercial services.
Bearing in mind the growth that the Oslo area will experiment in the next 30 years and in order to preserve the peculiarities of Norwegian culture, we consider essential to look after not only the natural parks and areas near the cities, but also the urban spaces and parks.
Three buildings, three different house typologies sitting on a common commercial ground are the components of the new Hamag City Park living complex.
A structure of artificial trees is used to create a covered public space for the swimming pools, the spa and the public square.
During the cold season we add glass façades to the artificial trees so as to create a protected interior space, and during summertime the façades open to connect the riverside area with the swimming pool.
